129th Syndicate Meeting of CUET held

129th Syndicate meeting of Chattogram University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) was held on Tuesday (May 16) in the Syndicate Room of the University. The meeting was presided over by Syndicate Chairman and Vice Chancellor of CUET Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Alam.

At this time, the Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Professor Dr. Md. Moinul Islam; Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology Dr. Sunil Dhar; Chattogram Divisional Commissioner Dr. Md. Aminur Rahman NDC; Director of the Institute of Energy Technology Professor Dr. Muhammad Kamruzzaman; Director of the Department of Planning and Development Dr. Kazi Delwar Hossain participated.

At the same time, Professor of Accounting and Information Systems Department of Chattogram University Dr. Sultan Ahmad; Professor of Computer Science and Engineering Department of Jahangirnagar University Dr. Mohammad Zahidur Rahman; Managing Director of Eastern Refinery Ltd. Md. Lokman, Mkodar Palash Industrial Zone Limited Executive Director Major (Retired) Engineer Md. Feroze Khan Nun Farazi and Chairman of Chattogram Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board Professor Mustafa Kamrul Akhtar; Professor of Computer Science and Engineering Department of CUET Dr. Muhammad Ibrahim Khan and Professor of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department Dr. Mahmud Abdul Matin Bhuiyan also took part.

Besides, Additional Secretary (Development) of Secondary and Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education Mr. Belayet Hossain Talukder and Professor of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology Dr. Md. Aynal Haque were connected online.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Syndicate Chairman and Honorable Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammed Rafiqul Alam received the four new honorable members of Syndicate with flowers. They were; Chattogram Divisional Commissioner Dr. Md. Aminur Rahman, Director of CUET's Institute of Energy Technology, Professor Dr. Muhammad Kamruzzaman, Director of the Department of Planning and Development Dr. Kazi Delwar Hossain and Professor of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department Dr. Mahmud Abdul Mateen Bhuiyan. 

Professor Dr. Sheikh Mohammad Humayun Kabir, Dean of Mechanical Engineering Faculty and University Registrar (Additional Duties) served as Syndicate Secretary.
